Role summary

We are seeking a People Operations Associate to support daily HR operations in a fast-paced, hybrid environment in New York City. This role involves hands-on work across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, HR compliance, and policy development. You will maintain employee records in HRIS, assist with recruiting coordination, support people programs, and help build scalable People Ops systems and workflows. Proficiency in Google Workspace and experience with HR tools are essential. This is a great opportunity for professional development within a growing organization.

  • As a People Operations Associate, you’ll support day-to-day HR operations and work closely with our People Operations Manager, Talent, Finance, Legal, and Leadership teams
  • This is a hands-on role where you’ll gain exposure to HR strategy, systems building, and cross-functional collaboration, while helping to deliver a seamless employee experience
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, documentation, and system access
  • Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS, benefits systems, and internal tracking tools
  • Assist with benefits administration and employee inquiries
  • Support HR compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Help develop and maintain employee policies, handbooks, and documentation with People Ops Manager
  • Screen incoming HR correspondence and escalate time-sensitive matters to People Ops Manager
  • Coordinate recruiting processes and help ensure a smooth candidate-to-employee transition
  • Assist with reporting, audits, and data hygiene for operational accuracy
  • Support company-wide people programs including performance cycles, engagement initiatives, learning opportunities, and recognition programs
  • Help organize our annual company offsite (previous locations: Tokyo, Dubai, Hawaii)
  • Build scalable People Ops systems, templates, and workflows
  • You’ll have hands-on experience across the full employee lifecycle
  • Direct exposure to building People Ops processes and systems

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar)
  • Startup, tech, or high-growth experience preferred
