Senior Customer Success Engineer
Role summary
The Senior Customer Success Engineer is a technical owner responsible for driving long-term customer outcomes with the Veeam Data Platform. This role involves leading onboarding, adoption, and optimization, identifying churn risk and upsell opportunities, and applying expertise in disaster recovery and resilience. Key responsibilities include configuring accounts, customizing policies, conducting assessments and recovery simulations, monitoring for churn risk, building business cases, and engaging with executive stakeholders. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in customer-facing engineering roles focused on data backup and recovery, with hands-on expertise in operating systems, virtualization, storage, scripting, cloud platforms, and DR&R best practices. Familiarity with Veeam is a plus, and relevant certifications are required or preferred.

About the Role:
The ideal candidate will be naturally collaborative, articulate, extremely organized, have a solid technical understanding of Veeam products, and motivated by maximizing customer success and outcomes. Soft skills combined with technical skills are key in this role. As a Senior Customer Success Engineer, you are the primary technical owner driving long-term customer outcomes across the Veeam Data Platform. You’ll lead onboarding, adoption, and optimization; proactively identify churn risk, migrations, and upsell opportunities; and apply deep disaster recovery and resilience (DR&R) expertise to conduct recovery simulations, DRMM assessments, and quarterly resilience reporting for measurable customer value.

Compensation Transparency

For this role, the compensation range below reflects the expected total target compensation (TTC), inclusive of base pay and a competitive performance-based bonus. For roles with a commission plan, the compensation range represents On Target Earnings (OTE), which includes base salary plus variable commission. When determining compensation, Veeam takes into consideration factors such as experience, education, and skills. Offers are typically made below the midpoint of the range.
