Role summary

Veeva Systems is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Veeva OpenData product team. This role is crucial for assisting with customer master data governance, analysis, cleansing, and delivery. The Data Analyst will support internal project management, coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, and prepare project progress reports. The ideal candidate will have over three years of data analysis experience, familiarity with ETL and master data management, proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and strong communication and teamwork skills. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and with project management is preferred.

The Role

Data Analysts play a key role in Veeva OpenData, assisting in the delivery and project management of customer master data governance. We expect them to effectively analyze and process customer business data in a manner that is consistent with product logic, ultimately delivering authentic, business-aligned data to customers. Leveraging data analysis methodologies, they lay a solid foundation for customer master data management.
 
The Data Analyst position is part of the Veeva OpenData product team. This position provides data analysis, cleansing, and delivery for customer master data, supports internal data project management, and coordinates with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of relevant data and maintain data quality.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist the PM with daily project management tasks, including:
  • Understand client requirements and assist the PM in developing project data verification and delivery plans
  • Analyze project data, formulate data processing requirements, and deliver data
  • Prepare and report on project progress, quality control, and related process documentation
  • Maintain documentation for each project phase, ensuring its completeness and compliance
  • Submit or distribute relevant documents and reports internally and externally
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients, superiors, and across departments

    • Requirements

  • Full-time bachelor's degree or higher
  • More than three years of data analysis experience, familiar with ETL and master data management
  • Proficiency in office software such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Excel formulas
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills and project execution capabilities, as well as strong customer service and teamwork skills
  • Strong teamwork, pioneering and innovative spirit, high professionalism, strong sense of responsibility, and strong execution capabilities
  • Ability to independently learn and summarize, with agile thinking and clear thinking

    • Nice to Have

  • 1+ year of project management experience preferred
  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry data management preferred
  • Proficiency in ETL, understanding of data warehouse theory and technology, related tools, familiarity with common database software, and at least one programming language (Python, C#, Java, etc.) preferred
