Our ideal candidate is an experienced team player with CPA firm experience who will seamlessly fit into our close-knit office culture. The Senior Staff Accountant will manage a fixed list of monthly accounting clients, perform full accounting cycle procedures, and provide elevated support through review work and collaboration with our Accounting & Tax Managers.
The Position:
The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for:
- Full accounting cycle procedures for a designated client list
- Preparing monthly financial statements
- Reconciling bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts
- Filing sales tax and payroll returns or reviewing third-party filings
- Scheduling EFTPS payments
- Processing corporate tax returns
- Spotting and correcting financial statement errors
- Communicating with clients clearly and professionally
- Working efficiently with cloud-based, paperless systems
Senior-Level Responsibilities:
- Reviewing Staff Accountant work for accuracy and completeness
- Assisting in training, support, and workflow improvements
- Supporting Accounting & Tax Managers with reviews, cleanup work, and client projects
- Assisting with tax return preparation for individuals, S-corps, and partnerships
- Contributing to tax planning tasks and client onboarding
What You’re Familiar With:
- QuickBooks, Lacerte, Microsoft Office
- Reconciliations, debits/credits, and full-cycle accounting
- Small business and individual tax concepts
- Paperless and cloud-based workflows
What We’re Looking For:
- 2–4+ years of CPA firm experience
- Strong accounting knowledge and attention to detail
- Ability to review work and assist junior staff
- Tech-savvy, organized, and proactive
- Effective communicator with a positive, team-oriented attitude

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
