Position Summary

Veoci, a leader in no-code emergency management and SaaS solutions, seeks a Mobile Engineer to join our mobile team and contribute to the continued development of our cross-platform mobile application. Built with Vue, Quasar, and Cordova, our mobile app serves users in high-stakes field environments — first responders, aircraft maintenance crews, and emergency management professionals who depend on reliable, performant tooling when it matters most.

You'll work hands-on building features, fixing bugs, and improving the mobile experience while serving as the US-based point of contact for our established international development team. This role is equal parts writing code and clear communication — bridging time zones, translating product needs into actionable work, and helping keep the team aligned.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and improve cross-platform mobile features for iOS and Android using Vue, Quasar, and Cordova/Capacitor
  • Serve as the US-based engineering point of contact for Veoci's international mobile development team, facilitating communication across time zones and ensuring alignment on priorities
  • Collaborate with product, design, web-client, and backend engineering teams to translate requirements into well-scoped mobile work
  • Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and quality assurance to maintain code health across the mobile codebase
  • Contribute to release management, app store deployments, and CI/CD processes for mobile builds
  • Help identify and resolve technical debt, performance issues, and UX improvements based on user feedback and field conditions
  • Stay current with mobile development trends and contribute ideas for improving the mobile platform

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 2–5 years of software engineering experience with a focus on mobile application development
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and modern web technologies
  • Experience with Vue.js or similar component-based frontend frameworks
  • Familiarity with cross-platform mobile development (Cordova, Capacitor, or similar hybrid approaches)
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and backend integrations
  • Comfortable working with international or distributed teams across time zones
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Quasar, Vue, or other modern reactive frontend frameworks (React, Svelte, Angular, etc.)
  • An understanding of lower level native mobile APIs across the Apple and Android ecosystem
  • Familiarity with offline-first application design and local data persistence
  • Background in SaaS or enterprise software environments
  • Experience with applications used in operational, emergency management, aviation, or high-reliability industries
  • Familiarity with monorepo development workflows
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and mobile release management
  • Exposure to real-time data, push notifications, or sync-heavy systems
