FP&A Manager, R&D & G&A

We are seeking an FP&A Manager to lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for R&D and G&A organizations. This role focuses on driving financial discipline, improving operational efficiency in headcount and vendor spend, and establishing clear spend guardrails. Responsibilities include managing the OpEx and headcount envelope, leading workforce planning with detailed models, partnering with Procurement on SaaS spend optimization, and enhancing financial controls through automation. The ideal candidate is a tech-forward operator with strong executive communication skills and a meticulous attention to detail, comfortable leveraging AI tools and treating finance as a product.

About the Role:
We’re looking for an FP&A Manager, R&D & G&A to join our Finance team. This role is the financial lead for Engineering, Product, and G&A organizations, with a clear mandate to drive financial discipline through planning, forecasting, and reporting, while improving operational efficiency in headcount and vendor spend.
You will run a tight operating cadence across R&D and G&A: budget vs. actuals (BvA) rigor, bottoms-up workforce planning, and building scalable tooling and processes that keep teams moving fast while staying inside the company’s spend and cash guardrails.
If you’re based within a pre-determined commuting distance of one of our offices (SF, NY, London, or Berlin), the role includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $180,000 - $210,000. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package may include benefits, equity-based compensation, and eligibility for a company bonus or variable pay program depending on the role.
