VerifAIX is building an agentic AI platform for semiconductor design verification—automating workflows from specification to verification closure. We are a well-funded, venture-backed startup founded by industry veterans in semiconductor and EDA, together with leading researchers in AI and formal verification.

We’re looking for a Founding AI Software Engineer to help build the core software and AI systems behind our platform. This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of AI, developer infrastructure, and semiconductor verification, and to help define the technical foundation of the company from the ground up.

What you’ll do

Architect and build the backend systems and APIs that power our agentic workflows

Develop AI pipelines for specification and design ingestion across PDFs, docs, HTML, and other technical inputs

Build structured representations for specs, RTL, and verification artifacts

Implement multi-agent workflows, tool use, memory/retrieval, and evaluation loops

Combine LLM-based approaches with deterministic programmatic algorithms

Build internal tools, developer workflows, and product foundations across CLI and web interfaces

Integrate with verification tooling and help automate real chip verification tasks used by engineering teams

What we’re looking for

Strong software engineering fundamentals and strong Python experience

Experience building and shipping LLM-enabled or AI-native products

Experience with agents, orchestration, tool calling, retrieval, evals, and self-correction loops

Experience designing backend systems, services, workflows, and async architectures

Ability to work across systems and product boundaries and deliver end to end

Comfort in a startup environment with speed, ambiguity, and ownership

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, ECE, or equivalent practical experience; PhD is a plus
• Startup experience or success in high-ownership engineering environments is a plus
