Software Engineering Manager, Data Protection Platform
Role summary
Verkada is seeking a Software Engineering Manager for its Data Protection Platform team. This role is core to building security and privacy capabilities for Verkada’s Command Platform, focusing on creating and driving adoption of platform services that protect customer data. The position requires a strong software engineering background with at least 10 years of experience and 3 years in engineering management, including experience building high-quality, scalable, and reliable distributed systems. The candidate will be hands-on, writing code daily, and collaborating across product and engineering teams. Responsibilities include enhancing product security, expanding encryption adoption, and contributing to broader security programs. This is an onsite role.

The Verkada Security Team is an engineering team at its core. Part of its charter is to build security and privacy capabilities for Verkada’s Command Platform. This is an opportunity to create platform services that protect Verkada customers and data. The role’s broad scope means you will be writing code in a variety of technology stacks and collaborating with engineering teams across all of Verkada’s products.

Annual Pay Range

Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).
