Role summary

Veronica Beard is seeking a Senior Data Scientist (Full Stack) to lead advanced modeling efforts across the product lifecycle. This role involves delivering analytical support to improve decision-making and operational efficiency, focusing on forecasting, supply chain effectiveness, partner performance, sustainability measurement, and product analysis. Responsibilities include building and deploying ML models, owning data products end-to-end, developing data models in dbt, creating dashboards in Sigma, and supporting production ML systems. The role also requires translating business questions into analytical frameworks, defining metrics, and applying scenario modeling. A key aspect involves developing AI-driven tools to augment operational workflows and shape responsible AI application. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in data science with operations focus, strong Python and SQL skills, and experience with MLOps tools, dbt, and BI platforms.

Overview:

As Senior Data Scientist (Full Stack), you will own advanced modeling efforts across the product lifecycle. This includes delivering advanced analytical support that improves decision making and operational efficiency. This work spans forecasting future needs, improving end-to-end supply chain effectiveness, evaluating partner performance, enabling scalable sustainability measurement, product analysis, and reducing manual, time intensive processes.

Responsibilities:

Full Stack Data Science and Machine Learning

  • Build and deploy forecasting, optimization, and ML models that support operational planning.
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of data products, from raw data to business facing tools.
  • Develop analytics ready data models in dbt with strong documentation and testing.
  • Create dashboards and analytical tools in Sigma used by operational teams.
  • Support and evolve production ML systems and data science infrastructure.

Operations Analytics

  • Serve as a trusted technical partner to Operations, Production, Planning & Buying, and Merchandising.
  • Translate ambiguous business questions into well structured analytical frameworks with clear outputs.
  • Define and maintain metrics frameworks for cost, speed, reliability, risk, and impact.
  • Apply scenario modeling and optimization to improve planning and execution.
  • Increase transparency into complex operational systems and constraints.

AI Enabled Systems

  • Develop AI driven tools that augment operational workflows and decision making.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify high leverage opportunities for intelligent automation.
  • Help shape how AI is reliably and responsibly applied across Operations over time.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning Engineering, or a similar field, with experience working on operations‑focused problems.
  • Strong Python skills including Pandas, NumPy, and SciKit Learn.
  • Experience with ML deployment and lifecycle tools including GCP (Cloud Functions, Vertex AI), GitHub Actions, and/or MLflow.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Experience with data modeling, ideally with dbt.
  • Experience with BI tools and dashboarding, ideally Sigma Computing.
  • Experience with forecasting, time series modeling, or supply chain analytics.
  • Familiarity with causal inference, experimentation, or simulation modeling is a plus.
  • Experience in retail, apparel, supply chain analytics, production planning, or operational analytics.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical insights to C-suite and non-technical partners.
  • Comfortable working in fast paced environments with shifting priorities.
