Head of Data Science (Healthcare / RWE / Causal Inference)
Role summary
A fast-growing healthtech company is seeking a Head of Data Science to lead and scale their Data Science & ML team. This high-impact leadership role focuses on applying causal inference, machine learning, and healthcare data (EHR, claims, clinical) to generate real-world evidence (RWE) and drive clinical insights. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in Data Science/Biostatistics/ML with strong expertise in causal inference methods and healthcare data. Experience with LLMs/GenAI and Cloud/MLOps is a plus. This fully remote US-based position offers significant ownership and the opportunity to impact patient outcomes.

What You’ll Do
- Lead and scale a Data Science & ML team
- Drive initiatives in causal inference, predictive modeling, and evidence generation
- Work with large-scale healthcare datasets (EHR, claims, clinical data)
- Partner with product, engineering, and clinical stakeholders

What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years in Data Science / Biostatistics / ML
- Strong expertise in
causal inference methods
(propensity scoring, treatment effects, etc.)
- Experience with healthcare data (RWE, EHR, clinical trials)
- Proven leadership experience

- Experience with LLMs / GenAI (RAG, agentic workflows)
