Role summary

Via is seeking a remote, German-speaking Customer Service Representative based in England to join their Operations team. This role serves as the primary point of contact for drivers and passengers, ensuring the smooth daily operation of public transportation services through telephone and email support. The ideal candidate is fluent in German (C2/native) and English (C1/C2), tech-savvy, adaptable to various shifts, and passionate about Via's mission. No prior call center experience is required, but a willingness to learn and provide excellent service is essential. The position offers a base pay of £14.75/h for a 40-hour week, with potential for increased compensation based on shifts.

As a Customer Service Representative at Via, you will be the human connection between our technology and the people who depend on it — keeping our on-demand services running smoothly for both drivers and passengers across England. You'll sit at the heart of our Operations team, gaining hands-on experience across operations, technology management, and on-demand mobility in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment. This job can be done remotely, as long as you are based in England.

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure the smooth daily operation of our services by providing telephone and email support.
  • Work scheduled shifts, with appropriate shift bonuses for night shifts, Sundays, or pre-determined holidays.
  • Make sure that our drivers and passengers feel supported in all matters, always helping them with their questions or concerns.
  • Care for customer satisfaction and ensure that issues are resolved.
  • Grow with your tasks and responsibilities if you so choose, and increase your compensation accordingly.

    • Who You Are:

  • Fluent in German (C2 or native) and English (C1 or C2).
  • A good communicator who is able to always find the right tone in different contexts and enjoys providing advice and support over the phone.
  • Calm under pressure and able to develop creative solutions in real time — no prior call center experience required; what matters is a willingness to learn and deliver great service.
  • Technology-savvy and comfortable working with modern IT tools.
  • Flexible and adaptable across different shifts; while we try to accommodate individual schedules, this role requires some availability outside standard hours to support our 24/7 operations.
