Job Summary
Vista Roseville Memory Care is seeking a compassionate and driven Activities Director to lead and coordinate our Memory Care programming. This role is responsible for developing and implementing engaging, person-centered activities designed specifically for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
The ideal candidate will foster a supportive and structured environment that promotes dignity, independence, and quality of life while ensuring compliance with RCFE regulations. This position plays a key leadership role in enhancing resident engagement, supporting staff, and building meaningful connections with residents and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive memory care activity program tailored to residents’ cognitive levels, interests, and abilities
- Plan and lead daily structured activities that promote cognitive stimulation, socialization, and emotional well-being
- Coordinate and execute community events, family engagement activities, and holiday programs
- Ensure programming meets Title 22 and RCFE requirements for activity standards and documentation
- Train and support staff on dementia care best practices, redirection techniques, and resident engagement strategies
- Collaborate with the care team to support individualized service plans (ISPs) and accommodate residents’ changing needs
- Maintain accurate activity calendars, participation records, and assessments
- Assist with and support residents in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed
- Create a safe, structured, and stimulating environment within the memory care neighborhood
- Manage activity supplies, budgets, and scheduling to ensure consistent program delivery
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in memory care, assisted living, or long-term care required
- Strong understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia-related behaviors
- Background in activities programming, recreational therapy, or social services preferred
- Knowledge of Title 22 / RCFE regulations related to activities and resident engagement
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with residents, families, and team members
- Ability to lead, motivate, and train staff effectively
- Experience with event planning and structured programming for seniors
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to care
- Ability to manage schedules, documentation, and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
