Forward Deployed AI Engineer

Role Overview

As an FDAE at Vrestem, you are the technical face of the company. You will take our proprietary AI infrastructure and deploy it directly into client environments. You are a "full-stack" problem solver who can write production-grade Python, fine-tune models, and architect RAG pipelines on the fly to meet specific business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Rapid Integration: Architect and deploy Vrestem’s AI infrastructure within complex, enterprise-scale environments.
• Custom Fine-Tuning: Fine-tune open-source LLMs (Llama, Mistral) on client-specific data to solve niche industry problems.
• RAG Optimization: Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines to minimize hallucinations and maximize accuracy.
• Technical Diplomacy: Act as the primary technical point of contact for client stakeholders, translating business requirements into engineering reality.
• Feedback Loop: Feed real-world edge cases back to our core product team to improve our base infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 6+ years in Software Engineering with a focus on Python, Kubernetes, and Cloud Infra.
• AI Stack: Proficiency in PyTorch, LangChain/LlamaIndex, and Vector Databases (Pinecone/Milvus).
• DevOps Mindset: Strong understanding of GPU orchestration and containerized deployments.
• Versatility: Ability to bridge the gap between technical architecture and business value for executive stakeholders.

Nice to have :)

• Previous experience in a "Founding Engineer" or "Solutions Architect" role.
• Strong presence in the developer community (GitHub, LinkedIn, or Technical Blogs).
