Technical Software Engineer Manager - Web/Mobile

About the Role

VRIZE is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers developing modern web and mobile applications for a major enterprise client.

This role will oversee the software development lifecycle from architecture through delivery, ensuring scalable solutions, strong engineering practices, and alignment with business objectives.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical expertise with engineering leadership, supporting both technical architecture decisions and team development. You will partner closely with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and operations partners to deliver next-generation applications, improve engineering processes, and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers building modern web and mobile applications and platforms.
• Provide technical leadership across the software development lifecycle, including architecture, development, testing, and deployment.
• Define and evolve technical architecture, tools, and engineering best practices.
• Plan and manage resources, budgets, and technology investments supporting product development.
• Establish engineering metrics and track performance against business and service objectives.
• Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across teams.
• Serve as a servant leader, removing obstacles and enabling the team to deliver effectively.
• Partner with business operations and stakeholders to support automation initiatives and technical strategy.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–10 years of software development experience including architecture and hands-on development.
• Experience leading engineering teams or major software development initiatives.
• Strong understanding of enterprise systems, infrastructure, and software delivery processes.
• Ability to translate product requirements into technical architecture and scalable solutions.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Technologies & Tools

Experience with technologies such as:

• Frontend: React, React Native, TypeScript, JavaScript
• Backend: C#, .NET MVC, .NET Core
• DevOps: Azure DevOps (YAML pipelines, ARM templates)
• Testing: Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Postman, JMeter
• Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, NoSQL (CosmosDB)
• Other tools: Git, SonarQube, Checkmarx
• Operating Systems: Windows, Linux

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 8–10 years of software development experience required.
• Experience leading software development teams preferred.

Hybrid – 3 days onsite in Irving, TX
