Role summary

Wachter is seeking a Low Voltage/Fire Alarm/Security Estimator with experience in field installation, design, or estimating, particularly in Audio Visual systems. The role requires at least 7 years of field installation experience and 3 years of estimating experience. Responsibilities include preparing commercial security/alarm project estimates, evaluating bid documents, performing takeoffs, writing proposals, and interacting with project managers. Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and attention to detail are essential. The position is remote with occasional travel to Lowell, AR. Wachter is accepting applications for Low Voltage/Fire Alarm/Security Estimator Estimators.  Experienced AV designers/engineers would be a great fit. Looking for motivated self-starters with field, design, or estimating background in Audio Visual.

    • Requirements:

     
     
  • This position will be required to be within 30 mins of a physical Wachter office.
  • Must have at least 7+ years in field installation experience
  • Must have 3+ years of continuous Estimating experience
  • Nicet Level II or Higher preferred
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Experience required in Physical Security or Alarm field installation environments.
  • Ability to function effectively as a member of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail required.
  • Proficient with using smartphones and computers, including email, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office programs.  
  • Excel Skills are a plus.
  • Proven ability to follow instructions and focused attention to detail. 
  • The position is remote with some travel to Lowell, AR for meetings or a local office as required by customers.

    • Responsibilities:

     
  • Prepare estimates for commercial security/alarm projects.
  • Evaluation of bid documents.
  • Perform accurate takeoffs.
  • Prepare Bid Sheets and questions.
  • Write professional proposals.
  • Interact with project managers to gather relevant information in order to provide firm bids for prospective jobs.
  • Maintain current, accurate information on prices from suppliers and contractors through direct contact and written materials, sales brochures, price lists, etc.
  • Maintain the company’s high standard of quality and professionalism with regard to workmanship, customer relations, coworkers, behavior, and appearance.
  • Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.
