We are looking for a DevOps-focused engineer to join our cloud application team and own the deployment, operational reliability, and supporting infrastructure for a growing set of cloud-based applications. This role is centered on building and maintaining the systems that allow engineering teams to ship safely, operate confidently, and scale effectively across a modern Google Cloud and Kubernetes-based environment.
The right candidate will be strong in cloud infrastructure and platform operations, with hands-on experience designing and managing Kubernetes deployments, cloud networking, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tooling. This role is mid-to-senior level and requires solid real-world experience with both GCP and Kubernetes.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain deployment workflows for cloud applications running on Google Cloud
- Build and manage Kubernetes-based deployment infrastructure, with a strong focus on reliability, repeatability, and operational clarity
- Own and improve GitOps and continuous delivery processes using ArgoCD, Terraform, GitHub, and GitHub Actions
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support efficient, safe, and observable software delivery
- Set up and improve monitoring, alerting, and operational visibility for cloud-hosted applications and services
- Manage and evolve cloud networking infrastructure to support secure and reliable application connectivity
- Build utilities and internal tools to automate deployments and operational workflows, including for large-scale or data-intensive applications
- Partner closely with software engineers to improve deployability, observability, incident response, and operational maturity across services
- Contribute to infrastructure standards, deployment patterns, and platform best practices across the team
- Support production operations, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis when deployment or infrastructure issues arise
Required Qualifications
- Experience in DevOps, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or cloud infrastructure roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments
- Experience managing infrastructure as code using Terraform
- Experience with GitOps and application delivery using ArgoCD
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions
- Experience supporting cloud applications written primarily in Node.js, with some exposure to Go, Python, or Java environments
- Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational troubleshooting in cloud environments
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, service connectivity, access patterns, and infrastructure security fundamentals
- Ability to write automation scripts, utilities, and deployment tooling to improve team efficiency and system reliability
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale data or big data application deployments
- Experience improving developer workflows and internal platform tooling
- Familiarity with production operations in high-reliability or industrial environments
- Experience with incident response, postmortems, and operational improvement practices
- Exposure to regulated, safety-conscious, or infrastructure-heavy industries is helpful, but not required
About the Team
Our team builds and operates cloud applications in the power plant control systems and battery space. Industry-specific experience is not required, but the work benefits from engineers who are comfortable operating in environments where reliability, traceability, and operational discipline matter.
