Senior Software Engineer, Behavior Evaluation
Role summary
Waymo's Systems Engineering team seeks a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Behavior Test Engineering. This role involves developing high-quality software for analyzing simulation test results and advocating for automation. The engineer will lead cross-functional efforts to enable scalable, multi-platform testing, collaborating with partner teams. Key responsibilities include designing metrics, test strategies, and simulated scenarios for autonomous vehicles, particularly in off-nominal situations. The position requires a strong background in software development for robotics or safety-critical systems, with experience in C/C++, Python, and SQL, and the ability to analyze data and provide feedback on system requirements. An advanced degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
