Senior Software Engineer, Sensor Test and Calibration
Role summary
Waymo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Sensor Test and Calibration to join their innovative Hardware Engineering group. This hybrid role involves developing automation software and calibration algorithms for LiDAR, Radar, and Cameras to advance autonomous vehicle sensor manufacturing. Responsibilities include creating software for testing and characterizing components, analyzing prototype test results, and developing data analysis tools for production monitoring. The ideal candidate will have a BS in a relevant field, 5+ years of Python experience, and 3+ years in a Linux environment. Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees, computer networking, hardware/sensor data analysis, and embedded software development experience.

Hardware Engineering is an innovative and collaborative group of electrical, mechanical, reliability, software and vehicle engineers. We design, build, and perfect the products which are the eyes and ears of Waymo's autonomous driving technology, and integrate those products into vehicle platforms. The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
