Role summary

This contingent Information Security Engineer 3 role focuses on Identity and Access Management (IAM) operations. The engineer will provide day-to-day support for IAM platforms, including CyberArk, and handle BAU activities like user lifecycle management and access reviews. Responsibilities include managing change requests, supporting application integrations, troubleshooting incidents, and implementing automation using scripting and APIs. The role requires strong knowledge of IAM principles, production support experience with SLAs, and participation in on-call rotations. Experience with Active Directory, cloud IAM (AWS/Azure), and custom IAM applications is also expected.

Summary:
In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Information Security Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to Information Security Engineering deliverables. Review and analyze moderately complex Information Security Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Information Security Engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with client personnel in Information Security Engineering. Required Qualifications: Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day operational support for enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms, including vendor solutions (e.g., CyberArk) and internally developed IAM applications.
  • Execute business-as-usual (BAU) activities such as account unlocks and unsuspension's, user onboarding and offboarding, password rotations, system health checks, and access lifecycle management.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of change requests, including analysis, creation, validation, implementation, and closure, in accordance with established change management and SLA processes.
  • Collaborate with IAM integration teams and internal stakeholders to support application integrations and access-related requests.
  • Perform operational hygiene and compliance activities, including human and non-human account cleanup, permissions and access reviews, and audit support.
  • Troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and support ongoing platform upgrades, patching, and maintenance efforts to ensure service stability and security.
  • Identify, design, and implement automation opportunities using scripting and APIs to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to support critical IAM services and respond to high-priority incidents as required.

Key Requirements:

  • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
  • Experience in Information Security, with a strong emphasis on Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  • Hands-on experience administering CyberArk or comparable Privileged Access Management (PAM) platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change requests end‑to‑end, including analysis, build, validation, implementation, and closure.
  • Proven experience supporting production IAM environments with defined SLAs and operational support processes.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills, including PowerShell, Python, and RESTful APIs.
  • Solid understanding of IAM principles, including access lifecycle management, role-based access control, and operational security best practices.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in on‑call rotations to ensure high availability of critical IAM services.
  • CyberArk certifications (Defender, Sentry, Guardian) or equivalent experience with other IAM/PAM solutions.
  • Experience supporting custom-built or in‑house IAM applications.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, Windows and Linux administration, and cloud IAM integrations (AWS and/or Azure).
