
CAD Technician
Role summary
WESCOR seeks a CAD Technician to design industrial wastewater treatment equipment. This role involves creating detailed 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings using SolidWorks, generating shop and assembly drawings, and producing P&IDs and installation drawings. The technician will collaborate with engineers and project managers, revise drawings based on feedback, and assist with project documentation. A diploma/degree in a related field and proficiency in SolidWorks and fabrication processes are required. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
CAD Technician - Industrial Wastewater Treatment Equipment
WESCOR provides wastewater treatment solutions for a range of industrial, commercial and municipal markets specializing in process design and equipment supply for challenging applications. We offer in-house equipment design and fabrication, turn-key treatment systems followed by long term field support for our clients.

Summary of Position:
A team-oriented individual who will be responsible for CAD design of Industrial Wastewater Treatment Equipment.
Job Functions:
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings using SolidWorks
- Generate detailed shop drawings, assembly drawings, and bill of materials (BOMs)
- Develop flat patterns and part drawings suitable for fabrication
- Produce general arrangements, process flow, P&ID and installation drawings
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to translate design concepts into manufacturable solutions
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback from fabrication and field installation teams
· Assist with the preparation of project documentation packages including O&M manuals and equipment submittals.
· Participate in design review meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of drafting standards and workflows.
· Maintain and organize drawing files, revision histories, and CAD libraries in accordance with company standards.
- Assist with design improvements and standardization of components
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
- Proficiency in SolidWorks
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite.
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes (sheet metal, welding, machining)
- Experience creating fabrication-ready drawings and detailed assemblies
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with weldments and sheet metal design
- Familiarity with P&IDs and process equipment layouts
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment equipment is an asset
- Understanding of materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and coatings
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
