Monday – Friday, Onsite, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Optional overtime available

1 year with high likelihood of extension or conversion to full time employee.

POSITION OVERVIEW – Manufacturing Testing Specialist

The Manufacturing Testing Specialist is responsible for executing and developing testing procedures for electrical equipment including solar inverters, converters, and variable frequency drives. This role ensures compliance with quality standards, supports continuous improvement, and plays a key role in validating product performance within a manufacturing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture

• Perform full functional testing including insulation, Hi-Pot testing, I/O verification, cooling systems, and performance validation

• Troubleshoot electrical equipment independently and identify effective solutions

• Develop and execute test plans for inverters and other electrical equipment

• Set up, operate, and dismantle testing equipment in accordance with LOTO and EHS procedures

• Prepare and maintain detailed test reports using engineering templates

• Support development of manufacturing processes to improve product quality and test efficiency

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity and defect reduction

• Collaborate with engineering teams to refine test design requirements

• Lead customer witness factory acceptance testing (FAT)

• Participate in third-party certification testing

• Track and report test data including first pass yield and lessons learned

• Ensure alignment with IEC and UL standards

• Provide documentation for manufacturing and engineering approvals

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited university

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in electrical equipment testing

• Knowledge of electrical equipment manufacturing processes

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems independently

• Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and instruments

• Understanding of safety protocols including LOTO and EHS requirements

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

• Experience with power electronics, inverters, converters, or variable frequency drives

• Knowledge of IEC and UL standards and certification processes

• Experience working in manufacturing, engineering, or test lab environments

• Strong communication and teamwork skills across cross-functional teams

• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/5S)

• Customer-focused mindset with experience supporting factory acceptance testing (FAT)

• Willingness to work extended hours or adjust schedule as needed
