Role Description

This full-time remote role, Data Engineer III at Why Do You Work?, involves designing, building, and managing data pipelines and solutions to support the company’s analytics and insights initiatives. Responsibilities include creating and optimizing data models, developing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) and data transformation processes, and contributing to the design of data warehouses. The Data Engineer III will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and security while supporting business decision-making with data-driven insights.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in Data Engineering and Data Modeling
  • Experience in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and techniques
  • Proficiency in building and managing Data Warehousing systems
  • Strong skills in Data Analytics for generating insights and supporting business decision-making
  • Proficiency in SQL and one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus
  • Familiarity with big data tools and platforms, such as Hadoop or Spark, is beneficial
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a collaborative, remote team environment
