Who We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for a Product Designer who knows how to turn complexity into clarity.

Someone who can shape intuitive, beautifully crafted digital experiences rooted in strategy — not just style.

At Wild Places, we believe digital products should feel as good as they function. We design experiences that are visually compelling, technically sound, and deeply aligned with business goals. This role is about more than making interfaces look good — it’s about architecting thoughtful user journeys, building scalable systems, and delivering seamless digital ecosystems that perform.

You’ll work across websites, digital products, web apps, and brand-driven platforms for clients who care about doing things the right way. We’re looking for someone who sees UX as a strategic tool and UI as a craft worth obsessing over.

We’re open to contract or full time depending on the candidate.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead user journey mapping, wireframing, and information architecture development
  • Design intuitive, visually compelling interfaces for web, mobile, and digital products
  • Build scalable UI systems and design libraries in Figma
  • Create interactive prototypes to test and validate ideas before development
  • Collaborate closely with strategists, brand designers, writers, and developers
  • Present work confidently to internal teams and clients, clearly articulating rationale
  • Ensure seamless handoff to development with clean documentation and design specs
  • Contribute to accessibility, responsiveness, and usability standards across projects
  • Work across the design team on various branding projects

Who you are:

  • Experienced in UX thinking and UI craft — you understand both structure and style
  • Comfortable leading mid-sized projects independently and contributing to larger initiatives
  • Strategic in your approach, not just aesthetic
  • Skilled at simplifying complex systems into intuitive experiences
  • Clear and confident in presenting ideas and defending design decisions
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven
  • Energized by collaboration and open feedback

Location:

Remote is great. Atlanta, Nashville, Los Angeles, or Dallas is a plus. This is a full-time role with competitive pay and meaningful room to grow.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead UX research initiatives including audits, competitive analysis, and user journey evaluation
  • Develop sitemaps, user flows, and wireframes grounded in strategy and research
  • Design high-fidelity UI for responsive websites, web applications, and digital platforms
  • Build and maintain scalable design systems and component libraries
  • Create interactive prototypes for usability testing and stakeholder review
  • Partner with developers to ensure feasibility and high-quality implementation
  • Support accessibility best practices (WCAG compliance, inclusive design standards)
  • Contribute to CMS architecture thinking in collaboration with development teams
  • Participate in QA and post-launch optimization efforts
  • Stay current with digital trends, tools, and interaction patterns

Requirements:

  • 4–8+ years of experience in UI/UX or product design, preferably within an agency or digital product environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma (component systems, auto layout, prototyping)
  • Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and modern web standards
  • Experience designing for CMS-driven platforms and scalable digital ecosystems
  • Strong portfolio showcasing UX process (research → wireframes → UI → system thinking)
  • Ability to clearly communicate design rationale to clients and cross-functional teams
  • Experience collaborating with developers and understanding technical constraints
  • Motion and micro-interaction experience is a plus
  • Webflow development experience is a plus, but not required
