I'm recruiting for a Tier 1 VC-backed Series A applying agentic AI to healthcare revenue cycle, and they're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to own backend systems end to end.

Location: New York (3 days in office)

Salary: $180K - $280K + Equity

This startup uses agentic AI to fight insurance companies and get doctors paid faster - recovering lost revenue from claims that get buried in the mess of healthcare admin. They've just signed two major enterprise deals and are scaling fast.

This role is ideal for a Senior Software Engineer who thrives in ambiguity, wants real ownership, and is energised by building products that actually matter.

Tech stack: Python, AWS, Agentic AI systems, Distributed backend services

You'll be a Senior Software Engineer owning backend infrastructure - building scalable Python services, designing distributed systems, and working directly with customers to understand what needs to be built next.

They're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who:

  • Has 3+ years of backend engineering experience (excluding Internships)
  • Is strong in Python
  • Has startup experience - ideally Series A or beyond
  • Wants ownership, not a ticket queue
  • Is excited about using AI to fix a broken healthcare system
