Senior Software Engineer, Tech Lead

We are seeking a
Senior Software Engineer, Tech Lead
to help drive the evolution of our desktop and mobile product experiences. This role is heavily focused on
front-end architecture, technical leadership, and hands-on development
across our Electron desktop application and React / React Native ecosystems.

You will partner closely with backend engineers, Product, Design, and QA to deliver performant, reliable, and scalable end‑to‑end user experiences. In addition to building new features, you will help shape architectural decisions, improve engineering standards, and mentor other developers.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior front-end engineer who enjoys owning complex UI systems, influencing technical strategy, and contributing to a growing, fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain high‑quality features across front-end systems (React, React Native, Electron) with an understanding of backend integrations
• Lead technical design and front-end architecture discussions for new product initiatives
• Own complex engineering projects from concept through delivery
• Review code and provide constructive feedback to maintain high standards of quality, performance, and maintainability
• Collaborate closely with Product, QA, Design, and backend teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions
• Improve application reliability, performance, and scalability across desktop and mobile platforms
• Modernize legacy platform areas and guide migration strategies
• Mentor and support engineers through pairing, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
• Contribute to engineering best practices, tooling improvements, and process refinement

Required Qualifications

- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience (or equivalent)
- Strong proficiency with
JavaScript / TypeScript
and modern front-end frameworks (
React preferred
)
- Experience building or maintaining complex
Electron
applications
- Experience developing mobile applications using
React Native
- Strong understanding of front-end architecture, state management patterns, and performance optimization
- Experience integrating with
RESTful APIs
- Working knowledge of relational databases and
SQL
- Experience with Git-based workflows (Bitbucket) and participation in structured code review processes
- Comfortable working in a startup or fast-paced environment
- Prior experience leading or mentoring engineers

Nice to Have

- Experience with
PHP
(Laravel or similar frameworks)
- Familiarity with backend architecture and API design
- Background modernizing legacy systems
- Experience with
CI/CD pipelines
and cloud infrastructure
- Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end)
- Exposure to performance tuning and observability tools

Compensation & Benefits

- Base salary range:
$150,000 – $175,000
(depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors)
