UAS Operations Manager
Role summary
Wing is seeking a UAS Operations Manager for its Fleet team, based onsite in Dallas, TX or Palo Alto, CA. This role is crucial for scaling Wing's operational capacity by overseeing regional UAS fleet management. Responsibilities include developing processes and tooling for scaled operations, managing vendor field service, maintenance, and logistics, conducting fleet inspections, performing data analysis for actionable insights, and reporting on fleet health and performance. The manager will foster cross-functional collaboration, enhance data signal availability, and ensure regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate possesses 8+ years of experience in fleet management or aviation ground operations within FAA/UK CAA environments, holds an FAA A&P certificate or is eligible for a Repairman certificate, and has strong knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in CMMS, Google Workspace, scaled analytics, and technical root cause analysis is essential.

About the Role:
Wing is looking for a UAS Operations Manager to join our Fleet team and be based onsite in Dallas, TX or Palo Alto, CA. In this role, you’ll support development, rollout and oversight of a regional UAS fleet management operation, unlocking Wing's operational scale for years to come. This role will require meticulous planning and a strategic perspective to work with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure the fleet management team can always supply business operations with abundant airworthy aircraft and consistent ground system support at scale.This position is subject to Wing’s Drug and Alcohol testing policy in accordance with Wing’s procedures and DOT/ FAA regulatory requirements.
