Role summary

Wintrust is seeking a Compliance Data Analyst to join their team in Rosemont, IL. This hybrid role involves developing, validating, implementing, and managing models, BI reports, and analytical solutions for BSA/AML/OFAC compliance. The analyst will be responsible for data quality assurance, ad-hoc analysis, and presenting data-driven insights to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in a Data Analyst role with strong skills in SQL, Data Visualization (PowerBI), and Python, along with experience in requirements gathering and data analysis.

Position Summary
The Compliance Data Analyst is a key resource working to develop, validate, implement, govern, and manage Models, BI Reports/Dashboards, and other Analytical solutions to provide business insights, value, and recommendations with regards to BSA/AML/OFAC Compliance Technology Product Management subjects. A successful candidate should be experienced at independently developing, delivering, and managing highly effective Analytic solutions.
What You'll Do

  • Administers and operates several production processes related to Data Quality Assurance for BSA Department technology products. This includes Data Quality Monitoring and Reporting, and Data Repair/Correction.
  • Gathering requirements, developing, implementing, validating, and ongoing governance and management of production use Models, Business Intelligence Reports/Dashboards, and other Analytic solutions within the BSA/AML/OFAC Compliance Technology Product Management Domain.
  • Delivery of situation-based, ad-hoc data analysis and insights as requested to support business needs related to projects, audits/exams, and business challenges.
  • Preparing and presenting advised data-driven insights and relevant documentation to support business needs to management, process owners, Model Risk Management, auditors, and examiners as needed.
  • Liaison with Enterprise Technology partners such a Data Management, for designing, gathering, structuring, and analyzing data to support the needs of the Compliance Department.
  • Other Duties – Includes addressing other duties as assigned relevant to the CTPM Team.

Qualifications

  • Quantitative Field (Math, Economics, MIS, etc); Master’s Degree or Candidacy Preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience in Data Analyst role or similar or where strong analytical and problem-solving skills were required, including Requirements Gathering, Development, Validation/Testing, and Output Tuning/Optimization
  • 3+ years’ experience with SQL, Data Visualization Tools (e.g PowerBI), and Statistical Analysis Language (e.g. Python)
  • Applied experience in the Field of Model Development and/or Model Validation preferred
  • Applied experience in the Field of AML, OFAC, Fraud, Financial Crimes or other transferable field preferred
  • Alteryx Experience preferred

Compensation
The estimated salary range for this role is $55,000 - $77,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
