About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and impact-driven Lead Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves leading the design, development, and implementation of advanced AI-based product solutions that support our strategic initiatives. As a key member of the engineering leadership, you will collaborate closely with senior product and engineering teams to define technical strategies and deliver innovative AI solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in building scalable, secure, and high-performance systems that leverage the latest advancements in AI and machine learning. You will serve as a technical leader, guiding cross-functional teams through high-level designs and translating them into actionable low-level implementations. The role also emphasizes mentorship, evangelization of new technologies, and continuous improvement of organizational capabilities. Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of professional coding experience in server-side languages such as Python, GoLang, or Java
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Management Information Systems; Master’s degree preferred
• Proven experience architecting and deploying AI/ML systems in production environments handling structured and unstructured data
• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, and related AI technologies
• Familiarity with product data pipelines, e-commerce taxonomies, and schemas
• Knowledge of modern AI infrastructure including vector databases, model orchestration tools, inference frameworks, and cloud-native ML workflows
• Leadership experience working with cross-functional teams—engineering, product, design, and data science
• Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, along with API architecture and MLOps practices
• Solid understanding of data storage solutions including SQL and NoSQL databases, and frontend storage options
• Experience with frontend frameworks such as Angular or React is a plus

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members across domains, executives, and stakeholders to provide technical guidance and strategic direction
• Contribute to and/or author high-level system designs, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Lead major AI initiatives by developing detailed low-level designs and overseeing their implementation
• Develop quick-turnaround solutions to address urgent business needs, balancing delivery speed with scalability and reliability
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to shape and refine the company's AI strategy
• Evaluate and select appropriate technology options to maximize ROI and performance
• Build scalable, secure, and cost-effective AI systems capable of handling large-scale operations
• Deep dive into RAG pipelines, MCP, AI agents, multimodal LLMs, prompt orchestration, and telemetry inspection
• Promote organizational upskilling by evangelizing new AI technologies and identifying opportunities for experimentation and education
• Mentor and coach team members to foster technical excellence and continuous learning
