About The Role
We are seeking a
Product Owner
to help shape and formalize a developing internal product focused on
granular forecasting within the energy sector
. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguous environments and enjoys bringing structure, clarity, and direction to work that has evolved from proof-of-concept into a growing product.
You’ll play a key role in
documenting existing processes, defining the product roadmap, and translating stakeholder needs into actionable requirements
while working closely with data science teams.
What You’ll Do

  • Organize and document existing forecasting processes developed during proof-of-concept phases
  • Define and refine the product roadmap and development priorities
  • Translate stakeholder needs into clear product requirements and user stories
  • Act as the bridge between stakeholders and technical teams (especially data scientists)
  • Proactively engage with cross-functional teams to align expectations and priorities
  • Lead stakeholder discussions and drive clarity across competing needs
  • Own and maintain documentation as a core deliverable (heavy focus for first 6 months)
  • Utilize JIRA to manage backlog, track work, and support agile processes

What a Typical Day Looks Like

  • Meeting with stakeholders to gather requirements and align priorities
  • Collaborating with data scientists on development direction
  • Writing and refining product documentation and requirements
  • Managing and prioritizing work in JIRA
  • Driving clarity across teams consuming and contributing to forecasting data

What We’re Looking For
Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–7 years of experience in Product Owner or Product Management roles
  • Strong communication and documentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into product requirements
  • Experience working in JIRA within an enterprise environment
  • Experience collaborating with technical teams (e.g., data science, engineering)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the energy, utilities, or power sector (strongly preferred)
  • Background working with data-focused products or forecasting processes
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Strong organizational and product structuring skills
