Role summary
YC Bench is seeking a full-time remote Lead Data Scientist to design and implement advanced data models for analyzing Y Combinator startups and generating actionable insights. This role involves managing data pipelines, conducting statistical analyses, creating data visualizations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The Lead Data Scientist will also mentor junior data scientists and ensure the scalability of the analytics infrastructure. A strong background in Data Science, machine learning, statistics, data analysis, and programming languages like Python, R, or SQL is required.

Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Lead Data Scientist. The Lead Data Scientist will design and implement advanced data models to analyze Y Combinator startups and generate actionable insights. Responsibilities include managing end-to-end data pipelines, conducting statistical analyses, creating compelling data visualizations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role also involves mentoring junior data scientists and ensuring the accuracy and scalability of the analytics infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Data Science, including machine learning and predictive modeling
- Proficiency in Statistics and hypothesis testing to conduct quantitative analyses
- Knowledge of Data Analytics and Data Analysis methods to extract insights from complex datasets
- Experience with Data Visualization tools to present findings effectively
- Proven ability to design and manage data pipelines
- Experience in leading and mentoring technical teams
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related fields
