Role summary

YKK Corporation is seeking a Warehouse Operations professional to handle all incoming and outgoing raw materials and products using forklifts, tow trucks, or pallet jacks. This role involves moving daily production, stocking, staging goods for shipping, and processing required documents. The position also requires organizing and maintaining buffer zones, receiving materials, assisting with inventories, and adhering to safety and housekeeping standards. A High School Diploma/GED is required, along with the ability to drive a forklift, use a computer and scanner, and obtain hazardous material/waste certification within 90 days of hire.

Job Summary

Handle all incoming and outgoing raw materials and products, either by forklift, tow truck or pallet jack. Move daily production into Logistics, put up as stock or stage for shipping. Pick and stage goods daily for shipping and process the required documents. Organize and maintain raw material and tape buffer zone areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ship tape or other material to designated department or vendor using forklift, tow truck or pallet jack
  • Use good understanding of all items and their respective job cards to discern what is to be shipped
  • Record production as it is moved from department to department
  • Collect empty spools and carts and return to the appropriate department
  • Organize buffer zone layouts and monitor inventory levels
  • Receive finished goods and raw materials, placing them in proper location
  • Assist in inventories and cycle counts as deemed necessary
  • Observe good housekeeping practices, safety precautions, rules and policies in the depot's buffer zone and shipping area
  • Performing any other duties assigned by management

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (minimum)
  • Hazardous material/hazardous waste certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Basic math and reading;ability to organize and group goods
  • Must be able to drive a forklift
  • Must be able to use a comupter and scanner to process orders and receivings

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee is required to wear appropriate safety protective equipment at the proper times and in the proper environments as required by safety program rules.
