We are seeking an experienced Principal Program Manager to lead significant transformation initiatives within the energy value chain, encompassing upstream, midstream, and utilities operations. We are looking for an experienced
Principal Program Manager
to drive large-scale transformation initiatives across the
energy value chain
, including upstream, midstream, and utilities operations. This role requires a seasoned leader capable of steering complex IT and business programs, ensuring alignment with operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation goals within the energy sector.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

- Lead enterprise-wide programs supporting
oil & gas operations, utilities, or energy trading platforms
, ensuring delivery excellence across multiple workstreams.
- Define and execute program roadmaps aligned with
business strategy, digital transformation, and operational optimization initiatives
.
- Manage interdependent projects across domains such as
asset management, production systems, grid operations, and energy distribution
.
- Drive financial governance including
budget planning, cost optimization, and ROI tracking
for large-scale programs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including
engineering, operations, IT, and regulatory teams
to ensure seamless execution.
- Establish robust
risk management frameworks
, proactively identifying and mitigating operational and technology risks.
- Ensure adherence to
industry regulations, compliance standards, and audit requirements
specific to energy and utilities sectors.
- Provide executive-level reporting, including
program health, KPIs, and strategic insights
to leadership teams.
- Champion adoption of
modern technologies (cloud, data platforms, automation)
to enhance efficiency and innovation.
- Build and mentor high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

🎯 Required QualificationsMinimum:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or related field
- 12+ years of experience in
program/project management within Oil & Gas, Energy, or Utilities domain
- Strong experience managing
large-scale, multi-million-dollar programs

Preferred:

- 15+ years of experience in program leadership roles
- Hands-on experience with PPM tools such as
Planisware
or similar platforms
- Certification such as
PMP (Project Management Professional)
- Experience with Agile frameworks (SAFe, Lean Portfolio Management)
