Role summary

The Residential Program Manager II (Gateway Family) is responsible for developing, coordinating, and supervising staff and operations for an assigned residential program. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a social science, education, or related field, with a minimum of one year of demonstrated supervisory experience and a total of five years of combined education and experience in relevant areas. The position demands extensive knowledge of community resources and youth needs, strong relationship-building skills with agencies and the public, and the ability to provide public speaking and staff training. Key duties include monitoring program services, ensuring compliance with funding sources, managing day-to-day operations, overseeing service planning and delivery, and conducting staff supervision and evaluations. RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM MANAGER II (Gateway Family):

Under the direct supervision of the Senior Associate Director, is responsible for developing, coordinating, and conducting supervision of staff/operations for the assigned program. Must have experience with residential programs, preferably supervising residential programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in social science, education, or related field.

· Minimum of one (1) year of experience or any combination of education and experience to equal 5 years, which directly reflects background in the areas described under duties including (1) year of demonstrated supervisory experience.

· Extensive knowledge of community resources and the needs of youth.

· Ability to establish strong working relationships with the public, especially with community agencies.

· Ability to provide public speaking, staff training and community presentation services.

· Ability to exhibit emotional maturity and good judgment, to include high standards of morals and speech.

· Must be dependable and flexible with regard to working hours.

· Must be able to follow and carry out written and oral instructions quickly and accurately.

· Must be able to use discretion in all facets of work-related situations.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Not Inclusive):

· Works directly with the Senior Associate Director to develop, coordinate and conduct an array of services for the assigned program.

· Collaborates with social service agencies and other community entities for program development.

· Monitors all identified services, including referrals, intakes, assessment, case management, life and social skills, and service planning of clients in the program.

· Accepts, reviews and tracks all referrals made to the program for placement.

· Ensures all program services meet compliance with the program’s funding source in accordance with the program’s Scope of Work.

· Works closely with LCA (if applicable) regarding all facility and client care matters.

· Ensures the program is safe for all residential clients, including working with the established CABQ crisis response team.

· Reviews all critical incidents, trains staff in writing critical incidents and submits them to the clinical team.

· Ensures all critical incidents are reported to the appropriate authorities and YDI Vice Presidents within required timeframes.

· Responsible for day-to-day operations including purchasing, inventory control, staff scheduling, and records.

· Oversees service planning and delivery and provides consultation as appropriate.

· Oversees and monitors case records and ensures proper use of electronic recordkeeping systems.

· Reviews and approves documentation; if not applicable, reviews hard copy files monthly.

· Conducts weekly staff meetings.

· Provides 1:1 supervision for staff.

· Conducts employee evaluations and provides guidance.

· Attends required trainings and meetings.

· Collaborates on program budget and expenditures.

· Participates in supervision with the Senior Associate Director.

· Other duties as assigned.

JOB CHARACTERISTICS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. This is a professional position which requires organizational and communication skills, as well as judgment, tact, and diplomacy in contacts with YDI employees, community residents, parents, and local government agencies. Strict adherence is required to all regulations concerning confidentiality.

Good general health. Background investigation, including fingerprinting, will be required. TB Skin Test and Physical may be required.

Frequent travel is required by the employee, and proof of satisfactory car insurance is required.

Youth Development, Inc. is an at-will employer. Employment is by mutual consent of the company and employee and either may terminate the relationship at any time with or without cause or advance notice. This job is contingent upon funding; however, availability of funding is not a guarantee of continued employment, nor does it imply any specific term of employment.
