Role Description
We're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to build our next-generation web application. You'll work on high-performance interfaces that handle real-time AI streaming, large-scale file uploads, and collaborative analytics workflows. This is a full-time remote position where you'll have significant ownership over frontend architecture and user experience.
What You'll Build
- Modern web application using
Next.js (App Router), React, and TypeScript
- Real-time streaming interfaces using
Server-Sent Events (SSE)
for AI-powered analytics
- File upload workflows to Cloud Storage Systems
- High-performance data visualization and collaborative workspace features
- Optimized rendering strategies (streaming, hydration, edge caching) for fast page loads
- Clean, maintainable component architecture with strong type safety
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain frontend features using Next.js, React, and TypeScript
- Integrate Server-Sent Events (SSE) APIs for real-time streaming experiences with AI
- Implement robust file upload workflows to Cloud Storage (handling files from MBs to GBs)
- Optimize page performance: Lighthouse scores, bundle sizing, caching strategies, streaming rendering
- Collaborate with backend engineers to refine API interfaces and improve end-to-end performance
- Write clean, maintainable code with comprehensive testing, linting, and type safety
- Identify UI/UX bottlenecks and implement performance improvements
- Ship features independently with minimal oversight
Requirements
- Strong experience with Next.js and React
(App Router strongly preferred)
- Expert-level TypeScript
- you write type-safe code by default
- Proven experience implementing SSE-based streaming
on the frontend
- Experience with Cloud Platform file uploads
- presigned URLs, direct-to-cloud uploads, resumable uploads
- Solid understanding of web performance optimization
- bundle analysis, code splitting, caching, rendering strategies
- Familiarity with modern build tools
: Vite, Turbopack, Webpack, or similar
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Track record of shipping high-quality frontend applications
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with AI/LLM applications using SSE streaming
- Experience with file viewers, media previews, or large-file handling in the browser
- Prior work with React Server Components and edge runtimes
- Experience with Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, or backend development
- Strong UI/UX awareness or experience with TailwindCSS / component systems (shadcn/ui, Radix, etc.)
- Familiarity with collaborative editing or real-time multiplayer features
- Experience with data visualization libraries (Recharts, D3, Plotly)
