We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join a team building advanced Conversation AI solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with Product, SRE, and Engineering teams to design and deliver scalable backend systems and next-generation platform capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Own features across the entire development lifecycle
- Develop clean, maintainable, and well-tested backend code
- Design and build secure, high-quality REST APIs using an API-first approach
- Improve and refactor existing code as the platform evolves
- Work with third-party integrations
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
- Maintain technical documentation
- Track and communicate progress through Jira
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams
Requirements
- 7+ years of Java development experience, ideally in SaaS/PaaS environments
- Strong experience with Spring / Spring Boot, Maven, and ORM frameworks
- Experience building REST APIs and working with OpenAPI/Swagger
- Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong production troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor)
- Ability to quickly adapt to new technical environments
Nice to have
- Experience with Python (API development)
- Experience with React or similar JavaScript frameworks
