Finance Product Manager

Job Summary

The Finance Product Manager is responsible for defining, building, and delivering financial products, systems, and capabilities that support business growth, operational efficiency, and financial visibility. This role works cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Product, and Business stakeholders to design scalable financial solutions including billing, revenue recognition, forecasting, reporting, and integrations.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & Roadmap

• Define product vision and roadmap for finance-related systems and capabilities
• Partner with Finance leadership to identify automation and optimization opportunities
• Translate business requirements into product features and technical specifications
• Prioritize backlog based on business value, risk, and dependencies
• Drive product lifecycle from concept to delivery

Finance Systems & Process Ownership

• Manage financial product areas such as:
• Billing & Invoicing
• Revenue Recognition
• Subscription & SaaS Billing
• Financial Planning & Forecasting
• Accounts Payable / Receivable
• General Ledger
• Financial Reporting & Analytics
• Improve financial workflows and operational efficiency
• Identify process gaps and recommend automation solutions

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with:
• Finance & Accounting Teams
• Engineering & Development Teams
• Business Operations
• Data & Analytics Teams
• Executive Leadership
• Gather and document business requirements
• Lead requirement workshops and discovery sessions
• Communicate roadmap and release updates

Data & Reporting

• Define financial KPIs and metrics
• Ensure accurate financial reporting capabilities
• Work with analytics teams to build dashboards and insights
• Support forecasting and planning initiatives

Product Delivery & Execution

• Create user stories and acceptance criteria
• Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies
• Support UAT and production releases
• Monitor product performance post-launch
• Drive continuous improvements

Integration & Platform Ownership

• Manage integrations between finance systems such as:
• ERP (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Billing platforms
• Payment gateways
• CRM systems
• Data warehouses
• Ensure data accuracy and system scalability

Required QualificationsEducation

• Bachelor's degree in:
• Finance
• Accounting
• Business
• Computer Science
• Engineering
• MBA or Finance-related certification preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in Product Management / Finance Systems / Business Systems
• Experience working with Finance or Accounting teams
• Experience delivering financial products or platforms
• Experience in SaaS or subscription-based business models (preferred)
