We are seeking a Senior Quantitative Economist / Financial Data Scientist to support the development of high-impact economic and financial products used in policy, research, and decision-making environments. This role sits at the intersection of macroeconomic modeling, financial data analysis, and product development, contributing to outputs similar to:

  • Monetary policy strategy and outlook materials
  • Financial stability assessments
  • Economic research and statistical releases
  • Large-scale macroeconomic forecasting models

You will work across data, models, and analytical outputs to produce insights that inform senior stakeholders and decision-makers.

About the Role

Develop, enhance, and apply macroeconomic and financial models (forecasting, scenario analysis, simulation).

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large-scale economic and financial datasets, including survey-based and market data
  • Build and maintain data pipelines, transformations, and statistical outputs
  • Contribute to the production of reports, chart packs, and analytical deliverables for senior audiences
  • Translate complex quantitative outputs into clear, decision-ready insights
  • Collaborate across research, data, and policy teams to support end-to-end product development

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD preferred) in:
  • Economics
  • Econometrics
  • Finance
  • Statistics or related quantitative field
  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
  • Macroeconomic research or modeling
  • Financial system analysis
  • Central banking, regulatory, or policy environments
  • Quantitative financial analytics

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with:
  • Econometric and statistical modeling
  • Time-series analysis and forecasting
  • Programming in Python, R, MATLAB, or similar
