Role summary
Zoom is seeking a Trust & Safety Machine Learning Engineer to design, implement, and optimize AI/ML algorithms and solutions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate research into scalable engineering solutions, participating in code reviews, and identifying system improvements. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of professional experience, a Master's or PhD in a related field, proficiency in Python, strong machine learning concepts, experience with NLP, and familiarity with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow. This is a hybrid role with a salary range of $137,700.00 to $275,400.00 annually.

About The Team
With eight specialized departments, the engineering team functions as a highly collaborative, diverse powerhouse. Each department mission is to deliver seamless and innovative communication solutions. These range from software development and machine learning to quality assurance teams that work to create and maintain Zoom's user-friendly interfaces and robust infrastructure. The team continues to push the boundaries of communication technology, bringing people together regardless of their physical distance.
Responsibilities
- Designing, implementing, and optimizing AI/ML algorithms, techniques and solutions to address complex business challenges.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into scalable engineering solutions that align with business objectives.
- Participating in code reviews, design discussions, and technical presentations to ensure the quality and reliability of our engineering solutions.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement in existing systems and proposing innovative solutions to enhance performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Staying up-to-date with the newest developments in AI/ML research and engineering to continuously improve our technical capabilities.
What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrate 5+ Years of professional experience and a Master’s Degree or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field
- Be proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python.
- Be proficient in machine learning concepts, algorithms, and techniques, with hands-on experience in developing and deploying machine learning models.
- Experience with natural language processing (NLP).
- Understand deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar.
- Demonstrate AI dedication through sharing academic or personal AI projects and enthusiasm for new possibilities.
- Able to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:
$137,700.00
Maximum
$275,400.00
In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.
Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
