SAP Basis Administrator
Role summary
We are seeking a Senior SAP Basis Administrator to provide engineering support for our SAP S/4 HANA ERP environment. This role involves the installation, upgrades, maintenance, and security of the SAP system, including daily operational tasks like configuration, monitoring, database management, performance tuning, and applying support packages. You will also be responsible for system landscape strategy, designing solutions for high availability and disaster recovery, and implementing proactive monitoring and automation. Key responsibilities include ensuring SOX compliance, collaborating with product owners and developers on infrastructure design, performing database engineering duties, analyzing performance issues, and partnering with vendors. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience in SAP Basis administration, 8 years in HANA administration, 5 years of scripting experience, and experience with GCP cloud environments. Strong technical knowledge of SAP security, HA/DR, and compliance is essential.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing reliable engineering support for ERP (SAP S/4 HANA) which includes administration of the SAP environment including installations, updates\upgrades, maintenance, and security.
You will be responsible for daily operational activities like configuration, transports, SAP monitoring, Database\Storage management, troubleshooting, error handling, performance tuning, System Refresh, backups, applying Support Packages, installation of add-on software components, SAP Security including creating SAP roles and problem determination & solution. Other responsibilities include system landscape strategy, design and realisation of solutions such as high availability, disaster recovery, state of the art proactive monitoring and error handling and automation for all infrastructure-centric areas.
