We are seeking a Digital
Product Designer
to join our cross-functional team, dedicated to creating valuable, user-friendly, and conversion-driven experiences for shoppers across our portfolio of direct-to-consumer sleep brands. As a member of this team, you will participate in every aspect of the design process — from interviewing customers and uncovering unmet needs, to crafting polished interfaces that perform at every step of the purchase journey. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, developers, brand and creative teams, and key stakeholders to ensure our digital experiences are both deeply human-centered and beautifully executed. If you want to do meaningful design work on products that real people buy for one of the most important parts of their lives, this job is for you.
What you’ll achieve
- Develop a deep understanding of how consumers shop for sleep products online through customer interviews, usability testing, and behavioral research — and translate those insights into design decisions that reduce friction and build confidence at every step of the purchase journey.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and our brand and creative team to deliver experiences that are both strategically sound and visually polished — bringing a strong UI eye to work that’s already strong on brand.
- Partner with our Creative team to ensure that ecommerce design assets are grounded in conversion best practices and customer-centric design thinking.
- Design and iterate across the full ecommerce experience — balancing aesthetic quality with measurable performance, and using data and testing to inform each iteration.
- Facilitate usability testing and research activities that help the broader team stay close to the customer and make better product decisions.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a shared design system — keeping components clean, consistent, and developer-friendly.
- Leverage AI tools as a genuine part of your design process — to move faster, explore more directions, and bring fresh thinking to the team. We want someone who is actively experimenting, not just keeping up.
- Stay current on design trends, emerging tools, and ecommerce best practices, and bring what you learn back to the team.
About you
- You have 1–3 years of experience in product or digital design, with a portfolio that demonstrates both strong visual craft and a human-centered design process.
- You are skilled in the full range of product design work — sketching, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and user research — and you know when to use each.
- You have a genuine eye for UI detail: typography, spacing, color, and hierarchy are things you actually care about and can execute at a high level.
- You are comfortable working directly with customers — conducting interviews, facilitating testing sessions, and synthesizing what you learn into clear design direction.
- You are proficient in Figma and produce clean, well-organized files that developers and collaborators can actually use.
- You are a natural collaborator — comfortable giving and receiving feedback across teams with different priorities and perspectives.
- You have an intuition for how design choices affect conversion, and you’re curious about the data behind what works.
- You bring curiosity and agency to AI tooling — you’ve explored what’s out there, you have opinions, and you’re excited to keep pushing.
- You embody openness, a growth mindset, and a genuine obsession with getting the details right.
Even better — not a need, but nice to have
- Experience designing for eCommerce or D2C brands, even in a freelance or agency context.
- Familiarity with Shopify or similar platforms at a design level.
- Any background in motion design or front-end basics (HTML/CSS awareness — not coding).
- An eye for lifestyle photography and how imagery integrates with layout.
- Experience creating accessible experiences.
Benefits & Perks:
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- 401(k) with company match.
- Hybrid and remote work policy.
- Employee referral program.
- A free mattress from any 3Z brand.
- Friends family discount on all 3Z products.
- A supportive, team-focused culture guided by our core values: Care, Commitment, and Curiosity.
