Job Description:

We are seeking a
Technical Product Manager (TPM)
to lead and stabilize a business-critical retail technology ecosystem for a key customer. The environment spans legacy platforms such as IBM AS/400 and modern technologies including .NET, Angular, Magento, and Power BI.

This role combines product ownership, operational stability, and stakeholder leadership. The TPM will ensure systems not only deliver features but also run reliably and support core business processes.

Stakeholder & Product Leadership

Act as primary interface between customer stakeholders and delivery teams

Lead requirement discovery, roadmap planning, and prioritization

Manage product backlog aligned to business value and risk

Operational Ownership (Critical)

Develop understanding of backend operations:

Batch jobs, dependencies, and system restart procedures

Ensure stability of business-critical processes (inventory, orders, finance)

Identify and mitigate risks related to data integrity and job failures

Drive documentation of operational runbooks and processes

Technical Collaboration

Work across a hybrid ecosystem including:

IBM AS/400 / RPG systems

.NET APIs, Angular apps, Magento, Power BI

Collaborate with engineering teams on integrations, data flows, and modernization

Ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions

Transition & Vendor Coordination

Lead knowledge transfer from existing offshore teams

Reduce dependency on tribal knowledge and improve documentation

Support phased transition: shadow → reverse shadow → ownership

Coordinate across multi-vendor teams to ensure continuity

Delivery, Risk & Insights

Support Agile delivery (planning, grooming, reviews)

Track and improve metrics (MTTR, SLA adherence, recurring issues)

Analyze incidents (Jira/email) and drive root cause resolution

Define KPIs and enable data-driven decisions using Power BI

Required Qualifications

5+ years in Product Management, Business Analysis, or Technical Program Management

Experience in retail or ERP-driven environments

Experience working with legacy + modern hybrid systems

Exposure to production support / operational environments

Strong stakeholder communication and problem-solving skills

Technical Skills

Working knowledge of:

IBM AS/400 (conceptual/operational)

RPG (preferred)

.NET, Angular, Magento, Power BI

Understanding of:

Batch processing, job scheduling, and system dependencies

APIs, integrations (Boomi/EDI), and data flows

Preferred

Experience with IBM i modernization or retail eCommerce transformation

Certifications (CSPO, SAFe POPM, PMP)

Experience managing offshore or multi-vendor teams

Success Metrics (First 6 Months)

Improved system stability and reduced incidents

Documented runbooks for critical processes

Clear visibility into system dependencies

Successful knowledge transition with minimal disruption

Increased stakeholder confidence
