Principal Product Manager
Role summary
ADP is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead product management, direction, and roadmap for their Shared Services / ADP Pay Assist payroll product line. This role involves collaborating with IT and stakeholders to define release strategies, scope, and schedules, ensuring products delight customers and meet strategic goals. Responsibilities include acting as a User Champion, managing the product backlog, defining requirements, conducting competitive analysis, and serving as a product expert for sales and service teams. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 5-10 years of product management/implementation experience in the HR/Payroll industry, experience with Agile methodologies, and a proven ability to drive AI initiatives.
The Principal Product Manager will be responsible for product management, product direction and contributing to the product roadmap for the Shared Services / ADP Pay Assist payroll product line. The Product Manager will assist in the product release strategy, schedules and scope by working with IT and key product stakeholders such as internal business and product stakeholders, clients, sales and UX associates.
Ultimately, the Principal Product Manager is responsible to ensure that the resulting product delights customers and delivers to strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities Include
- Acts as User Champion when coordinating product development with Business Stakeholders and aligns all development activity business goals and priorities. Acts as Primary Product Owner and interface to IT. Manages the product backlog (grooming, prioritization and refinement).
- Determines high-impact metrics, feature/functionality and high-level business requirements - as well as ongoing management around maintenance, design and strategic direction.
- Works day to day with IT to clarify requirements, accept final stories and coordinate with other functions throughout the business.
- Acts as client-oriented User Champion. Understands competitive analysis and identifies how new products can account for additional sales/revenue opportunities for ADP.
- Serves as a product expert to sales and service; providing them with product information necessary to increase sales and client satisfaction/retention.
- Identifies and helps develop National Account Services product strategy and requirements and evaluates their potential and practicality by analyzing customer needs through clients, market research and interfacing with sale, service and IT.
- Serves as a subject matter/technical expert to the sales and service organizations on all matters related to the functionality of Enterprise HR within the specific domain of payroll.
Experience, Skills, Academic: Education & Experience:
- Education Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in education and
- Experience in HR/Payroll industry.
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Must be a good team player as well as an individual contributor.
- 5-10 years of product management and/or implementation experience.
- Experience in a product marketing environment with a proven proficiency in identifying product requirements and coordinating product development.
- Experience working in an Agile software development methodology
- Experience working on driving and developing AI initiatives
