About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Remote Property Accountant to join our dynamic team. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to contribute to the financial health and operational success of our property portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess at least five years of experience in property accounting, demonstrating proficiency in general ledger management, reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures. As a key member of our finance team, you will collaborate closely with property managers, auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and continuous process improvement. This role provides the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to balance professional growth with personal commitments, while working within a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a strong educational background and relevant experience, including:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting or a similar role.
• Proficiency in general ledger management, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are considered a plus.

Responsibilities
The Property Accountant will be instrumental in maintaining the financial integrity of our property portfolio. Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing, analyzing, and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple properties.
• Performing detailed account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Executing month-end close procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assisting in the development and management of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
• Collaborating with property managers and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
• Supporting external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
