Senior Mechanical Engineer
Role summary
Aircapture is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their R&D team in Berkeley, California. This role focuses on designing and developing mechanical systems for next-generation Direct Air Capture (DAC) units, managing the entire product lifecycle from concept to deployment. The engineer will collaborate cross-functionally, work with manufacturing partners, and drive engineering rigor through testing and validation. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience in industrial or hardware systems, strong mechanical design fundamentals, and expertise in areas like CFD, thermal systems, or gas handling. This is an onsite role with a salary of $165,000-185,000 per year.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Aircapture, you will be an essential member of our team, collaborating with Electrical and Process Engineers on our R&D efforts and improving installed systems. Salary: $165,000-185,000 per year

This position requires physical activities including climbing stairs or ladders, stooping, crouching to work on equipment, operating machinery and lifting and carrying loads of 50 lbs or more.
