Our practice is located in Angleton, TX, which is 45-minutes south of Houston.
Practice Overview
Angleton Veterinary Clinic is a small animal practice led by Dr. Sherry D. Clark. Our focus is on providing quality patient care and achieving top-notch client satisfaction. We use advanced technologies and techniques, which coupled with our team’s passion and knowledge, makes us the area leader in veterinary service.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, diagnostics, and surgical procedures for both small animals (dogs and cats) and exotics
- Safely and confidently handle a wide range of species, including rabbits, guinea pigs, snakes, lizards, turtles, ferrets, birds, and more
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and treatment areas
- Monitor patients during recovery and hospitalization, noting behavior, appetite, and signs of distress
- Administer medications and treatments as directed, using appropriate handling techniques
- Educate clients on proper husbandry, nutrition, and post-treatment care
- Perform daily cleaning, feeding, and enrichment tasks for in-clinic patients
- Maintain accurate patient records, logs, and inventory
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience working in a veterinary setting or with exotic animals preferred
- Veterinary Assistant certification or completion of a related program is a plus
- Excellent communication and client education skills
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt quickly in changing situations
- Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs and working on your feet for long periods
