Angleton Veterinary Clinic is a small animal practice led by Dr. Sherry D. Clark. Our focus is on providing quality patient care and achieving top-notch client satisfaction. What You’ll Be Working On

• Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, diagnostics, and surgical procedures for both small animals (dogs and cats) and exotics
• Safely and confidently handle a wide range of species, including rabbits, guinea pigs, snakes, lizards, turtles, ferrets, birds, and more
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms and treatment areas
• Monitor patients during recovery and hospitalization, noting behavior, appetite, and signs of distress
• Administer medications and treatments as directed, using appropriate handling techniques
• Educate clients on proper husbandry, nutrition, and post-treatment care
• Perform daily cleaning, feeding, and enrichment tasks for in-clinic patients
• Maintain accurate patient records, logs, and inventory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience working in a veterinary setting or with exotic animals preferred
• Veterinary Assistant certification or completion of a related program is a plus
• Excellent communication and client education skills
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt quickly in changing situations
• Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs and working on your feet for long periods
