Customer Experience Associate
Role summary
Apple Crate Naturals is seeking Customer Experience Associates to provide exceptional service in a wellness-focused retail environment. This role involves engaging customers, guiding them through product selections (supplements, natural products, specialty foods), and educating them on healthy living. Responsibilities include active customer interaction, learning detailed product information, stocking, inventory management, and operating the POS system. The ideal candidate has a genuine interest in health and wellness, strong communication and interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and at least 2 years of retail sales experience. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position focused on creating a welcoming and supportive customer journey.

This is not a passive retail position. Our Customer Experience Associates are active participants in the customer experience — guiding conversations, answering questions, making thoughtful recommendations, and helping customers navigate natural products, supplements, specialty foods, and healthy living choices with confidence.

What You’ll Do
Provide warm, welcoming, and informed customer service throughout the store.
Guide customers through wellness-focused conversations and confidently recommend products based on their goals and needs.
Learn and retain detailed information about supplements, natural products, ingredients, and healthy living topics.
Actively engage with customers rather than simply completing transactions.
Stock shelves, rotate inventory, build displays, and maintain an organized and inviting store environment.
Operate the register accurately and professionally.
Communicate effectively with team members and leadership throughout the day.
Participate in ongoing product and wellness education and training.
What We’re Looking For

Ability to build authentic rapport with customers from all backgrounds.

Ability to stay productive and engaged in a fast-moving, hands-on environment.
Basic math and problem-solving skills.
Ability to stand/walk for the duration of shifts and lift up to 40 lbs.
Previous experience in consultative customer service, wellness retail, hospitality, fitness, education, nutrition, specialty retail, or related customer-focused roles is strongly preferred.
Open availability, including weekends, is strongly preferred.
