Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their inquiries or concerns.
- Operate cash registers efficiently, processing sales transactions accurately.
- Handle cash and credit card payments while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain knowledge of store products and promotions to assist customers effectively.
- Address customer complaints or issues with professionalism and empathy.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth operation of the store.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store environment.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory and assist with restocking as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a grocery store or retail environment.
- Familiarity with cash register operations and cash handling procedures.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer bases.
- Strong sales skills to promote products and services effectively.
- Proficient in basic math for accurate transaction processing and inventory management.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address customer concerns promptly and effectively.
