Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented
ETL QA Engineer
with strong expertise in data validation and UI testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and quality of data pipelines and front-end applications. This role requires a strong understanding of ETL processes, advanced SQL skills, and hands-on experience in both backend data testing and frontend validation.

Key Responsibilities

ETL & Data Testing

• Analyze and interpret source-to-target mappings, data models, and ETL workflows.
• Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading across databases, data lakes, and downstream systems.
• Develop and execute complex SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and profiling.
• Perform schema validation, data integrity checks, and transformation logic verification.
• Test batch processes, scheduling workflows, and data pipelines (e.g., Informatica, DataStage, SSIS, Azure/AWS pipelines).
• Validate error handling, exception management, and audit logging within ETL processes.

UI & Front-End Testing

• Test web applications for functionality, usability, performance, and accessibility.
• Validate API integrations and ensure front-end and back-end data consistency.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing.
• Design and execute UI test cases, exploratory testing, and regression testing.
• Utilize browser developer tools to analyze network activity, console logs, and DOM elements.

Quality Assurance

• Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Developers, Business Analysts, Architects, and Product Owners.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and UAT support.
• Log, track, and validate defects using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Ensure adherence to data quality standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., PII compliance).

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Strong experience in
ETL and Data Testing

- Advanced proficiency in
SQL
for data validation and analysis.
- Experience with ETL tools such as
Informatica, DataStage, SSIS, or cloud-based pipelines (Azure/AWS)
.
- Hands-on experience in
UI testing and web application validation
.
- Familiarity with
API testing and data validation across layers
.
- Experience working in
Agile/Scrum environments
.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with
test automation tools
(Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
- Exposure to
data warehousing and big data ecosystems

- Knowledge of
data governance and compliance standards
