Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical QA Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX. This role is responsible for ensuring product quality and consistency across our manufacturing processes through data-driven analysis, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have experience in statistical analysis, quality control methodologies, and manufacturing processes, with a strong ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable improvements. This position will play a key role in establishing and maintaining quality standards, supporting calibration and testing activities, and ensuring compliance with company and industry requirements.

This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to a growing organization and help build scalable quality systems from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Determine quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes
  • Establish statistical confidence by identifying sample size, acceptable error, and confidence levels
  • Perform calibration and ensure proper maintenance of monitoring and measuring instruments
  • Develop and standardize production and quality documentation across departments
  • Conduct product testing and routine reliability testing for mass-produced products
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize data to generate reports and recommendations
  • Ensure products meet company and industry quality standards
  • Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, and Operations teams
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate quality or process issues as needed

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and problem-solving methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control principles
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Experience performing internal process or product audits is a plus
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills (statistics and data analysis)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Skills

  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience (certification is a plus)
  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab or similar)
  • Familiarity with calibration processes and quality systems

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
