
Technical Data Analyst, Quality and Risk
Role summary
Ascension is seeking a remote Technical Data Analyst to join their Clinical and Population Health Analytics team. This full-time role focuses on maintaining data workflows using SQL and Python, updating Tableau and Google Sheets dashboards for payer programs, and executing monthly reporting cycles to provide actionable scorecards on quality and risk adjustment. The ideal candidate will have a technical foundation in SQL and Python, with experience troubleshooting data discrepancies and broken scripts. A high school diploma with 2 years of experience, an Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or 4 years of applicable job-specific experience is required.

How you'll make an impact in this role:
- Maintain SQL and Python workflows to ensure high-quality, accurate data reaches our clinical and market leaders.
- Update interactive dashboards in Tableau and Google Sheets to visualize key performance trends for payer programs.
- Execute monthly reporting cycles to provide stakeholders with clear, actionable scorecards on quality and risk adjustment.
- Streamline recurring data tasks by identifying and fixing bottlenecks in our routine reporting processes.
What minimum qualifications you'll need:
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
What additional requirements you'll need:
- Technical Foundation: Proven academic or project experience with SQL (joining tables, basic queries) and a foundational understanding of Python.
- Resourceful Problem-Solving: A demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot data discrepancies or broken scripts using available documentation.
